Mr. Felix Gyawu Addo, is a second-year PhD student majoring in Environmental Science and Engineering at Hohai University, Nanjing. Mr. Addo has co-authored several scientific publications. His research areas are biotechnology, aquatic toxicology and waste water treatment.

As a strong advocate for student politics and activism, Mr. Addo has served in several positions among which include; Advisory Committee Member (NUGS-Nanjing), Welfare Chairman (Welfare Association for Ghana Students-Hohai University), Vice President of NUGS-Nanjing 2016/2017. Currently, he serves as National President (NUGS-China).

Mr. Addo’s work experience has seen him work as a civil servant for three years as an Assistant Research Officer (ARO) in the Ghana Civil Service. He was posted to the Office of the Attorney General’s Department and the Ministry of Justice. He was part of the two-member team that wrote the first service charter of the Ministry. Also, he served as a member of the  steering committee and representative of the Ministry of Justice and Attorney General’s Department (MOJAGD) working on the  e-workspace Project Phase II implementation (Jan. 2015-Sept. 2015). Mr. Addo helped to initiate and spear head the organization and the formation of change management team and nomination of representatives for e-workspace project phase II implementation steering committee of MOJAGD.

Felix Gyawu Addo is an analytical thinker who gives attention to detail, has good organizational skills and a good communicator and is able to prioritize with a good interpersonal skills. He is flexible and able to adapt quickly which is an asset when working in a team with divergent views and opinions

He believes leadership is the exercise of proactiveness in a person looking forward to the future, striving for development and strength on its impact, and the belief for positive change in the future by putting people first for a change. Hence the statements by these two historic figures sums it up and I quote;

Therefore in order to position ourselves well for the service of humanity, there is the need for a gradual process of self-realization and development.

His hobbies are playing football, reading and listening to music. He supports FC Barcelona. His passion is to empower people and to seek justice and equity for all.
